The River Don is a great salmon and sea trout river, but it also offers some first class brown trout fishing which you can explore in the "River Don" section of the website. The "River Don" section includes some useful beat information, tactics and flies to help you to tempt one of these beautiful trout.
Salmon fishing is usually good from around mid March, with sea trout starting to appear in April and then the grilse in May. Runs of grilse, salmon and sea trout continuing throughout the season depending on water levels. The heavier Autumn salmon usually arrive in mid September and October.
